Context
De klant is setting up a new standalone data platform. This project splits data from the client data and migrates all existing data assets to that platform. The platform itself is delivered in a separate track, not included in this assignment. The migration waves were defined and prioritized in Q4 2026; the detailed inventory of all affected assets still needs to be analyzed.
Role of the profiles
- Communicate and gather requirements with both internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze the datasets and create dataflow designs (DFDs) including source-to-target analysis
- Hand the DFDs over to the data engineers of an external data engineering partner, who build the datasets
- Review what was delivered after development
- Create bugs and follow them up until closed
- Define data quality checks and maintain the documentation
Profile requirements
- Candidates with strong data engineering experience
- Experience with large-scale cloud data environments Snowflake and AWS, and knowledge of DBT and SQL
- Conceptual and logical data modelling and source-to-target analysis
- Dagster is a plus
- Experience with Qlik Cloud QVD's is a plus
- Structured and analytical, strong communication, confident challenging stakeholders, comfortable in agile teams and with offshore partners
- Fluent English. Dutch or French is a plus
